Bats

Lot 11 has an abundant and diverse bat community living in and around our boarders. Each year we hang 3 bat monitors around the community during bat week, in mid-July. The monitors will remain up for a few days recording sounds within reach. On the last night we take a mobile bat recorder and drive around the community very slowly (20 km/hr) starting at dusk. Once we have driven a predetermined route recording, we collect the bat monitors we had hanging and turn it over to HSP Bat Project.
